The Onkaparinga Lions Club have had to postpone this weekend’s ROAR Talent Country Music Quest.

The audition night for budding young country and folk musicians that was scheduled for the Woodside Diner will be rescheduled to sometime next year.

“Due to the lack of sufficient applicants and a lack of flexibility arising from the Licensing restrictions placed on the Venue regarding Live Musical acts, the Lions Club of Onkaparinga regretfully needs to postpone the ROAR Country Music Talent Quest scheduled for Saturday 30th November, 2024,” Corry Moors, ROAR Talent Coordinator, said in a statement.

“The Lions Club of Onkaparinga sincerely apologizes to all those affected by this decision.
However, the Club needs to ensure that the allocated budget for this event, a total of $3,700
from funds raised at the Lions Shed at Woodside, is utilised appropriately.”

“We sincerely thank all the applicants to date and the various companies providing the prizes
and hope that you will still be available in 2025 to support this event.”

The 2025 date has not yet been set with organisers hoping to generate more interest amongst 11-17 year olds and 18-25 years in the lead-up.
