Police are continuing to search for the driver of a car involved in a crash at Birdwood on Sunday night, after those inside one vehicle fled the scene.
Emergency services were called to Randell Road about 7.20pm on the 3rd of May, following reports of a two-car collision.
A 55-year-old man from Munno Para West, who was driving a Mazda sedan, was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
However, the driver and passengers of a second vehicle – a silver Ford sedan – left the scene on foot before police arrived, abandoning the car.
Both vehicles were later towed, with investigations into the circumstances of the crash ongoing.
Police are urging the driver of the Ford to come forward and report the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam footage from the area at the time, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
