A fire has caused extensive damage to a restaurant in the Adelaide Hills, with more than 70 firefighters called to the scene.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a structure fire at The Mustard Seed on Main Street in Hahndorf around 8.30pm on Tuesday night.
Firefighters arrived to find the heritage building fully alight.
Twelve Country Fire Service trucks, supported by Metropolitan Fire Service crews, worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring properties.
Damage to the building is estimated at more than $2 million.
While the restaurant was closed, there was one person who sustained serious burns in the incident and was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Owners of the Mustard Seed say they are devastated that their family member is in ICU.
Fire Cause Investigators and Mount Barker CIB detectives attended the scene and investigations are continuing.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage.
