The Horse Drawn Tram will be out of action tomorrow, Friday 19 February, following the death of one of the Clydesdales.
The group’s only female horse Isabella been euthansised this week after contracting Ross River Virus last month.
Seven other horses have tested positive for the mosquito-born illness since last year, but all are improving in condition and expected to make a full recovery, including Elliot who recently contracted the virus.
Trams will be open today, Thursday, with limited runs, but closed tomorrow, Friday, for horse respite. The team is expecting to be back up-and-runing on Saturday.
