A new creative program is launching in the Riverland, aimed at helping locals over 55 stay connected and inspired.
The Loxton Waikerie Council’s “Season of Creativity” will run from July through to September, offering a range of free workshops at the Loxton Retirement Village Community Centre.
It’s hoped the program gives locals further encouragement to take up new hobbies, build creative skills and enjoy meaningful social experiences.
The Council’s Arts and Culture Officer, Simone Stretton said “Whether someone is revisiting a creative passion or trying something completely new for the first time, Season of Creativity offers a welcoming space to connect, learn and have fun.
Bookings are open now through Council, with the program backed through the Office for Ageing Well’s 2025-2026 Age Friendly SA grant program.
