Less than two months after it’s run in the cinemas, head of DC Studios and writer and director, James Gunn, has today shared the news of an upcoming sequel. A sequel was always an inevitability with Gunn at the head of DC but we didn’t expect to see something so fast. In a post to social media Gunn shared an artwork by comic legend Jim Lee of his version of Superman and Lex Luthor revealing the title and release date.
Man of Tomorrow will be the title of the upcoming Superman sequel, to be released in less than two years from now on the 9th of July in 2027. The art appears to indicate that Lex Luthor will be donning his suit this time to potentially go toe to toe with the Man of Steel again. Though potentially if the art above is an indication of what’s to come, perhaps this time they will be working together to prevent another crisis from occurring.
