Grand Theft Auto 6 is just weeks away, and if you are planning to explore the sun-drenched streets of Vice City on day one, you might need to make some sacrifices on your console.
According to the Twitter account PlayStation Game Size, GTA 6 will clock in at an absolute behemoth 210GB on the PlayStation 5. While the Xbox Series X size hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, it is safe to assume it will demand a similarly massive chunk of your storage space.

To put this massive 210GB download into perspective, here are the top 5 largest install sizes currently demanding space on console hard drives:
The Top 5 Largest Console Game Installs
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III – 235 GB
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – 220 GB
- Grand Theft Auto 6 – 210 GB
- God of War Ragnarök – 175 GB
- Destiny 2 – 165 GB
Players can start preloading the game from November 12, giving everyone a full week to get their digital house in order. Pre-orders are currently live, with standard physical copies retailing at around $130.
However, Amazon is offering a slightly sweeter deal at $125 with free shipping and a pre-order price guarantee. If you want the Ultimate Edition, a $30 digital upgrade is available, bringing your total to $155.
With game sizes continually creeping up, that standard console hard drive is looking smaller by the day. Time to start deciding which of your older games are getting deleted, but to be fair are you really going to be playing anything else?
