They haven’t shared a screen since Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut, making the prospect of a new collaboration a massive deal for cinema lovers.

While Anne Hathaway was recently announced as the new female lead for the upcoming sequel (with her character details tightly under wraps), an industry insider told Radar Online that Cruise is eagerly pushing for Kidman to reprise her iconic role. However, it’s far from a done deal.
Kidman’s busy schedule and her modern focus on producing complex, female-driven stories make returning to a high-octane action flick a complicated choice. According to reports, “It’s a big leap for Nicole to jump onto a bro movie… Even if she’s just going to do a signature, one-scene cameo, it has to be creatively perfect for her to do it.”
