Finally, I can stop shouting at my friends and we can all shout at the screen again.
Many of you might already be familiar with the massively popular co-op video game called Overcooked. But for those who don’t know, it’s a video game you play with friends in which you all run a kitchen with increasingly larger obstacles in the way preventing you from fulfilling your orders. These obstacles can range from awkwardly placed countertops, to rats stealing your food, to your stove top being placed on one moving truck and your knife and chopping board on a different moving truck.
The game shot to fame for its high tense fun, and also likely for ending as many friendships as classic Monopoly has. But the game is now set to leap from steam to stream. Netflix and A24 have acquired the rights to turn this video game into a reality TV competition series and I expect it to be just as crazy as its game counterpart. Netflix has said it is expecting to be in the same vein as other reality series of theirs: Nailed It! and Floor Is Lava.
As of now no details have been revealed on what the show will look like or when we can expect to see it. But this show has potential to be a hit!
