Coming after her return to acting in Wicked, this is Grande’s eighth studio album and follows 2024’s Eternal Sunshine. It delivers the expected Ariana vocals while blending R&B and pop. Early descriptions call it ethereal and soul-baring. Ariana took the lead on the 12-track project, which was mostly written by her, with help from her longtime collaborator and top pop songwriter Ilya, and record producer Max Martin on several songs.

The Track list features twelve songs:

  1. kiss me
  2. hate that i made you love me
  3. petal
  4. stay
  5. oh well
  6. big feelings
  7. freak
  8. warning signs (interlude)
  9. like i do
  10. never get over me
  11. bad thing (bunny hop)
  12. nowhere, nobody

The news of ‘petal’ also comes with the unfortunate news of Ariana Grande announcing that she will take a step back from live shows and public “visibility” as her current Sunshine Tour wraps in September 1st.
Citing “endless, ongoing public scrutiny.” This also includes the cancellation of her previously announced revival of ‘Sunday in the park with George.’ The show that would have reunited her with previous Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.
