A fire from a previous burn off has reignited this morning and spread through pine trees onto a residential property at Yundi, near Mount Compass.
CFS has responded to multiple triple 0 calls and sent 35 volunteer firefighters on 6 trucks and 2 bulk water carriers.
The fire engulfed a large 30m x 10m shed which stored farm machinery, a new excavator and the family business – a wedding and party hire equipment company.
Crews have worked hard, in the rain, to stop the fire from spreading into a granny flat and a two-storey residential home.
While no one was injured, the main shed, a smaller shed and nearby water tanks could not be saved, and the damage bill is estimated at $750,000.
