One of the jewels in the crown of the Fleurieu Peninsula has been recognised state-wide once again, with Victor Harbor being announced as SA’s Top Tourism Town for 2024.

It’s the second year in a row that Victor Harbor has received the honour, with their strong brand and emotive entry earning the nod.

City of Victor Harbor Mayor Dr Moira Jenkins says Victor Harbor is very deserving of the prestigious title.

“We’ve always been a fantastic place to visit, however recently we’ve re-established and certified our spot on the map,” Dr Jenkins said.

“Council’s investments into our city and our world-class tourism businesses really elevate our town as a must-see destination.”

The achievement came last night at the 2024 South Australian Tourism Conference delivered by the Tourism Industry Council South Australia (TiCSA), in which towns of all sizes competed to be recognised for their offerings and hospitality.

Coober Pedy claimed the Small Tourism Town award for the second time in a row as well, while Burra was recognised with the Tiny Tourism Town and People’s Choice Award.

The three winning towns will go on to represent South Australia at the national Australian Top Tourism Town Awards later this year.
