Thomas Foods to Become SA’s Largest Private Company

Thomas Foods International is set to become South Australia’s largest private company later this year.

With ASX-listed Viva Energy expected to complete its acquisition of OTR, the meat processing giant is expected to take its place at the top of the list.

The annual revenue for the company is estimated to reach $3.1 billion dollars.

The news comes five years after the company’s meat processing facility in Murray Bridge burnt down.

The company has since rebuilt near Murray Bridge, adding to its Lobethal meat processing plant and its large beef feedlot in Tintinara, which has undergone a multi-million dollar expansion.
