One of the Murraylands’ biggest tourism drawcards has a new name.
The Bend Motorsport Park, named loosely after its Tailem Bend location, will now be called Shell V-Power Motorsport Park for the next 10 years.
The Shell V-Power Motorsport Park nameplate was unveiled yesterday with The Bend Welcome Centre’s fascia now sporting the venue’s new logo.
The change comes just days before the one of the venue’s premier events in the OTR SuperSprint begins.
The Bend now joins the likes of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team, Team Penske Nascar/IndyCar operations, Hyundai’s factory World Rally Championship team and Australia’s own Dick Johnson Racing under the Shell motorsport umbrella.
Managing Director Sam Shahin says it’s a sign of the growth of the venue.
“It’s a testament to The Bend brand that we have developed since we set about building this venue close to a decade ago.”
