Suspect Charged Over Victor Harbor Business Break-In

A man has been arrested following a break-in at a Victor Harbor business last night.

Just before 11pm on Thursday 29 May police were called to the business on George Main Road after a witness reported seeing a man acting suspiciously outside.

When police arrived, they found the front glass door had been smashed and the alarm sounding.

On searching the building patrols located a man hiding in the rear. When searched he was allegedly found to be in possession of a jar containing cash and a fuel card belonging to the business.

Further checks showed a vehicle parked at the rear of the building had been broken into.

The 21-year-old man was arrested and has been charged with property damage, unlawfully on premises, serious criminal trespass and vehicle interference.

He has been refused bail and will appear before the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today Friday 30 May.
