Strathalbyn Driver Nearly 7x Legal Limit – SAPOL

A Strathalbyn man has been reported for drink driving after allegedly recording a blood alcohol reading of 0.336, which is nearly seven times over the legal limit.

Police were called by a concerned member of the public who reported seeing an intoxicated man get into his car at Milang about 6pm last night, on Wednesday 13 August.

Officers located the suspected vehicle on Luard Street about 30 minutes later.

The 45-year-old driver has been issued an instant 12-month loss of licence, and his vehicle has been impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
