An investigation into the theft of portable toilets has resulted in serious drug charges for a Murray Mallee man.
On Friday 1 September, portable toilets attached to a tandem trailer were supplied to a Jervois sports club. The next morning the trailer and portaloos were reported stolen.
Following investigations, police attended a Moorlands address where they allegedly recovered the stolen trailer and toilets.
While at the address, police spoke with a man who was allegedly found to be in possession of approximately 17 grams of methamphetamine and $4050 in cash.
The 58-year-old Moorlands man was arrested and charged with theft, trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug and trafficking in a controlled drug.
He was refused police bail and appeared in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 4 September.
