McLaren Districts have finally lost a game, the Hills Division 1 top five almost looks set and Mypolonga missed out on sending a big statement. Catch up on all of the action from around our regions here:

GREAT SOUTHERN

McLaren Districts’ 30-game winning streak has been ended by Willunga, in a dramatic Centenary Round on Saturday.

The grand final rematch was Willunga’s from the get-go, with the Demons running over the Eagles by 52 points (13.16 94 to 5.12 42) in Danny Irvine’s 100th.

McLaren Districts’ streak-buster took the spotlight off of Goolwa/Port Elliot, who produced a stunning 48-point upset of finals hopeful Mount Compass (15.10 100 to 8.4 52) to win just their second game of the year.

Other matches saw Langhorne Creek and Victor Harbor claim tight wins in entertaining contests against their respective rivals, while Myponga/Sellicks cruised past Yankalilla (19.19 133 to 1.4 10).

RIVER MURRAY

Inaccuracy has cost Mypolonga a vital win at home, as they fell by just five points to defending champions Imperial in Round 11 action.

The Tigers couldn’t convert their chances, kicking 8.14 62 to 10.7 67 to drop a golden chance to lock themselves into the top four.

The rest of the matches across the round were one-sided, with Coorong beating Mannum by 49 (10.10 70 to 2.9 21) and league leaders Jervois and Southern Mallee comfortably beating bottom two-sides in Mallee Districts and Tailem Bend.

HILLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Nairne Bremer have held their nerve in the face of a Uraidla Districts fightback to win by 23 points (15.13 103 to 12.8 80) in Round 11 action in Division One Hills Footy League action.

The vital win for the Rams now locks them into the top three, while the Demons now sit a game adrift in fourth.

Onkaparinga Valley were the other big winners of the round, surging past Lobethal to win by 63 (18.10 110 to 8.7 55) and give themselves a two-game cushion inside the top five.

Other matches saw Mount Lofty .. Hahndorf and Blackwood all tally easy wins.
