A significant painting from an Adelaide art gallery has been stolen while on display in the Adelaide Hills.
The Worth Gallery in Rundle Mall has taken to social media to appeal for help after work by the late prominent SA artist Annette Bezor was stolen from Lucent Art House in Stirling.
“Sharing the inspiring creativity of South Australian Artist working across many mediums is part of our ethos and for this to be to taken from us is heart breaking,” the Worth Gallery Facebook post reads.
“This piece by Annette Bezor is seriously significant… It’s her last work of art… she knew she was dying and Painted herself disappearing off the canvas… There is no other art work the same.”
They have asked if you have seen the painting (pictured in his article) to contact the police if you see it, quoting Crime number Sap 2300175265.
