Serious Crash at Oakbank

Police are investigating after a serious crash at Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills, earlier this morning.

Just after 7am Monday 15 September, police and emergency services were called to Onkaparinga Valley Road following reports that a car had collided with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 76-year-old man from Mount Barker, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the Kia SUV, a 55-year-old woman from the Adelaide Hills, was uninjured.

Major Crash Investigators attended to examine the scene and they are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.

Onkaparinga Valley Road was closed for several hours and is expected to re-open in the coming hours once SA Power Networks personnel have completed repairs to power lines bought down in the crash.
