Local learner drivers and their supervisors are being encouraged to hear first-hand how a split-second can change a life, as part of SA Police’s ‘Safer Journeys Together’ program.

Two separate sessions will run simultaneously, with crash survivor Holly Scott outlining her road trauma journey to learner drivers and her father speaking to supervising drivers about the experience.

Senior Sergeant Susan O’Connor says it’s an important message for drivers to hear.

“The Safer Journeys Together program is a great opportunity to bring young drivers and their parents and guardians together to discuss road safety matters related to each of them as told by Holly and Richard’s first-hand experience.”

The event is free, and will start at 6:30pm at the Murray Bridge High School.

Tickets are available at Eventbrite.
