The state opposition has announced new infrastructure funding for the fast-growing Hills town of Mount Barker.
Liberal candidate for Kavel, Bradley Orr, says a Liberal government would provide a $56M no-interest loan to the Mount Barker District Council.
The funding would support wastewater infrastructure and help complete Heysen Boulevard between Wellington and Paech Roads.
It follows Labor’s announcement in January, in which it pledged a $200M package for the town, including upgrades to roads, construction of a new TAFE trades workshop, a 24/7 pharmacy and a new police station and improvements to Mount Barker High School.
