RIVER MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE (full results here)
Mypolonga has jumped into second on the River Murray Footy League table after a stirring 12-point win over fellow contenders Imperial on Saturday as part of Round Nine action.
The Tigers managed to keep the Double Blues at arms-length after half time in a low-scoring arm wrestle, with Rory Taggett leading the way with five goals.
Other matches from the round saw Coorong Cats stay undefeated with a 16-point win over Southern Mallee, while Jervois and Rambler tallied comfortable wins.
GREAT SOUTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE (full results here)
Encounter Bay have made a big statement on Saturday, announcing themselves as finals contenders in the Great Southern Footy League after a 16-point win over Myponga-Sellicks.
In the battle between fourth and fifth, Encounter Bay were in control throughout thanks to big games from Callum Tonkin and James Bradford; they move into the top three with the win.
The other top four matchup saw the defending champions continue their strong form, as McLaren Districts beat Langhorne Creek by 38 to lock themselves into second.
Strathalbyn tallied a vital 18-point win over Mount Compass, while Willunga and Victor Harbor won big against bottom two opponents.
HILLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE (Division One results here, Country Division results here)
Uraidla Districts have claimed an important win as they look to stay in the Hills Footy League Division One finals picture, beating top-four side Mount Barker by 23 points on Saturday.
The Demons were never in trouble despite having two less scoring shots than their opponents, with the Barkeroos left to rue their inaccuracy after kicking 8.18.
Other Division One matches saw the gap widen between the top three and the rest of the league, with Hahndorf, Nairne Bremer and Mount Lofty winning easily.
In the Country Division, Kangarilla further compressed a very tight ladder by beating second-placed Meadows by 34 points.
It means second and sixth are separated by just one game.
