There are newly paved intersections, additional pedestrian access points, footpath paving, lighting, street trees and garden beds.

Stage 4 is underway and aims to create a vibrant gathering place at the intersection of Catherine Street and Donald Street, fostering community spirit and providing a welcoming space for residents and visitors.

In June, Stage 4.2, encompassing Dawson Street and including upgrades to the intersections of Donald Street and South Terrace, will commence. The installation of a pedestrian refuge island at the intersection with South Terrace will be built to increase pedestrian safety in the busy location.

An upgrade is also planned for the carpark at the Strathalbyn Visitor Information Centre with new asphalt pavement, an improved stormwater management system, additional lighting, and the introduction of garden beds.

The Town Centre Revitalisation Project, guided by an integrated Master Plan, consists of eight stages. With a total investment of $10.5 million, the project has received $3.85 million from the State Government’s Local Government Infrastructure Partnership Program.
