Police are preparing a report for the coroner following the death of a man at Pompoota, in the Murray Mallee.
Emergency services were called to Pompoota Landing Road at 2.20pm.
A contractor, a 41-year-old man from Jervois, was found deceased at the scene.

Safework SA has been advised of the incident and are investigating.
SAPOL said they do not believe there are suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
