The newly renovated Strathalbyn Town Hall will open its doors to the public next month.
A free ‘walk-through event’ will run on Saturday the 16th of August during the Antiques and Vintage Fair, with staff on hand to help with hire enquiries for events beyond mid-September.

The Alexandrina Council had hoped the hall would be open by now, but the plan has been plagued with delays and challenges from the start.
The $3.85 million restoration has now transformed the heritage site into a multi-use community space, supporting everything from weddings and concerts to local band rehearsals and exercise classes.
Alexandrina Council Mayor Keith Parkes says the ups and downs have been worth it.
“It’s been a complex project. Like many heritage buildings, the hall has presented us with some unexpected construction challenges, and we’ve encountered contractor issues beyond our control,” Mayor Parkes said.
“The completion of works at the Town Hall is the final piece in a project to make the town centre of Strathalbyn a place to walk and sit and enjoy this beautiful destination.”
