Murray Bridge Spring Garden Competition

It is time for keen green thumbs in the Rural City of Murray Bridge to don the gardening gloves and enter the 2023 Spring Garden Competition.

The beloved annual event is dedicated to celebrating the art of gardening and fostering community pride, with all residents, community groups and business owners invited to showcase their green spaces.

Competition Categories:

• Best Large Garden: Celebrating gardens covering over 1,200 square meters.
• Best Business Garden: A chance for businesses to beautify their frontage.
• Best Small Garden: Showcasing the charm of smaller spaces, including pot gardens, balconies, and terraces.
• Best Senior’s Garden: Honoring residents aged over 65 with their own gardens.
• Best Sustainable Garden: Recognizing environmentally friendly gardens.
• Edible Garden: Celebrating gardens that produce delicious crops.
• Best School Garden: Connecting classroom knowledge with practical garden experiences.
• Best Community Garden: Showcasing collaborative community efforts.

To enter, you must reside within the Rural City of Murray Bridge, and only one application will be accepted per category.

Key Dates:

• Entries accepted until October 16, 2023.
• Judging on October 26-27, 2023.
• Awards ceremony on November 15, 2023.
