Five pop-up Recovery Centres are being opened across Mid Murray communities this month for those impacted by the River Murray Flood.

The latest round follows a successful series offered during April and aims to help impacted communities get back on their feet.

Support available at the pop-up centres will include quick and easy grant assistance, access to recovery information and referrals, and Green Industries SA clean-up registrations.

Mid-Murray Council Mayor Simone Bailey said she is grateful for the extra support.

“Recovery centres have provided so much support to our community already. We encourage anyone who has been affected by the flood devastation to attend a local pop-up recovery centre where they can ask questions and find support and be guided through the various grants and programs by highly experienced, friendly staff,” Mayor Bailey said.

They will be set up in smaller towns across the Mid Murray Council area between 10am-3pm on the following dates:

  • Pompoota, Friday 12 May
    – Pompoota Town Hall: 373 Billabong Road, Pompoota
  • Morgan, Monday 15 May
    – Morgan Activity Centre: Corner of Fourth and Eighth streets, Morgan
  • Blanchetown, Tuesday 16 May
    – Blanchetown Community Hub: 3 Shaw Street, Blanchetown
  • Swan Reach, Monday 22 May
    – Swan Reach Town Hall: 3-5 Nildottie Road Swan Reach
  • Bowhill, Tuesday 23 May
    – Bowhill Community Centre: 88 Weber Road, Bowhill
