Mannum Man Charged Over Two ATM Break-Ins

A man has been allegedly caught trying to break into an ATM at Mannum.

Just before 4am on Thursday 16 May, Murray Bridge Police responded to an alarm activation at an ATM in Randell Road, Mannum.

When the patrol arrived, they allegedly located a man at the scene with a crowbar and significant damage to the ATM and premises.

Officers searched a nearby vehicle and allegedly located a single barrel shotgun.

A 48-year-old Mannum man was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass, attempted theft and firearms offences.  

Investigations have also led to the man being further charged with serious criminal trespass in relation to a similar offence at the same ATM on 8 May.

He was refused police bail and had a date with the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court yesterday.
