Local Hotspots To Feature Heavily In 2024 Tour Down Under

Australia’s premier cycling event will spend even more time in the Fleurieu, Adelaide Hills and Murraylands next year

The stage announcements for the 2024 edition have revealed that Murray Bridge will be involved again after a brief hiatus, while the Hills will feature heavily.

After the first stage in the Barossa, the second stage will wind its way through Lobethal, Cudlee Creek and Gumeracha after beginning in Norwood.

The fourth stage will feature the most local sights, with the riders to start in Murray Bridge, weave through Langhorne Creek and Strathalbyn before finishing in Goolwa.

Willunga Hill, Mylor, Aldgate, Uraidla, Stirling, Crafers and Bridgewater will also play a featuring role in the fifth and sixth stages.

The tour will run from the 12th to the 21st of January.

Tour Down Under Director Stuart O’Grady OAM says the stages are designed to challenge the best.

“The 2024 race routes will test the elite international cyclists like never before. The Santos Tour Down Under is Australia’s unbeatable cycling race and we are proud to present another edition,” O’Grady said.
