It’s all about the race for the last finals spots as the final month of home-and-away footy heats up, with Myponga-Sellicks and Tailem Bend making their moves on Saturday. Catch up on all the action here:

RIVER MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE (full results here)

Tailem Bend has one hand on the fifth finals spot in the River Murray Footy League after they beat fellow challenger Mypolonga by 25 points on Saturday, as part of Round 15 action.

The Eagles kicked seven goals to two in the first half and held on from there, putting them a game ahead with a game in hand on sixth-placed Mannum. 

Elsewhere, the top three beat up on lesser opponents, with Coorong Cats (186-39), Jervois (170-63) and Imperial (120-31) all dominating their clashes.

GREAT SOUTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE (full results here)

Myponga-Sellicks have taken a big step towards claiming a finals spot in the Great Southern Footy League, after they surged home to beat fourth-placed Encounter Bay on Saturday. 

The defending champions kicked the last five goals of the game to overrun the Eagles and win by 16 points, moving them a game clear in their tussle with Mount Compass.

The league’s pacesetters made light work of their matches, with Victor Harbor, Willunga and McLaren Districts all winning by more than 75 points, while Yankalilla beat Goolwa-Port Elliot by 74.

HILLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE (Division One results here, Country Division results here)

The Division One split round in the Hills Footy League nearly produced a big upset, with Uraidla Districts surviving a scare against Onkaparinga Valley on Saturday.

The Demons trailed by 19 points at the final change but managed to turn it around when they needed it most to win by six.

With the win, the finals lineup for 2025 has now been confirmed; Mount Lofty, Nairne Bremer, Hahndorf, Lobethal and Uraidla Districts.

Over in the Country Division, Macclesfield have claimed the Courier Cup with an 11-point win over an inaccurate Kangarilla and Echunga belted Gumeracha by 72 points in the match between fourth and fifth.
