Needing a victory to stop Monarto stealing their place, the Ramblers managed to defend 156 on the road, setting them up for an elimination finals matchup against Mypolonga next week.

Mannum and the Wanderers will play for the second time in three weeks in the qualifying final.

GREAT SOUTHERN CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

McLaren Districts’ fight for a finals place in the Great Southern is well and truly alive after they clinched a vital win against Mount Compass in Round 11 play.

After posting 262 last week, the Crushers dismantled the Bulls’ top order to eventually win by 132 runs, leaving them within striking distance of the sixth finals place.

Elsewhere, Port Elliot couldn’t chase the mammoth total in front of them in their blockbuster with Noarlunga, falling 49 runs short despite making 286 and Victor Harbor has fallen agonisingly short in their pursuit for their first win of the season, after they fell 14 runs short of Willunga.

ALEXANDRA AND EASTERN HILLS CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

The finals are already locked in for the Alexandra and Eastern Hills Cricket Association, after Hahndorf sent a warning shot to a fellow finals contender in a thriller on Saturday.

Needing a win in their last three matches to book their place in finals, the Pies cemented themselves in style with a 1-run win, with Langhorne Creek star Troy Blackwell run out with just two balls to spare.

Strathalbyn provided the surprise of the weekend, beating third-placed Nairne by 12 runs in another tight match.

HILLS CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

The first of the late-season bye rounds in the Hills Cricket Association only had two games on the cards, however both ended in upsets.

Scott Creek Ironbank tallied a vital win in their pursuit of a top-four spot, beating league leader Stirling by 26 runs, while Kangarilla beat Aldgate to keep their season alive as well.

With two rounds left to play, just two games separate second and second-last, with Uraidla the only team unable to make finals in the last fortnight.
