The City of Victor Harbor has officially bought 50 hectares of Brown Hill, in the hopes of transforming it into a mountain bike park.
The land, just off Waterport Road, was selected for its dynamic topography and views after it was highlighted as an option in the Council’s Mountain Bike Strategy back in 2021.
The one million dollar acquisition was made possible by a grant from the State Government.
The master planning process is now underway, with initial plans showing four different tracks of varying difficulties for hikers and bikers alike.
The first elements of the park are expected to be completed within five years.
