A driver has been arrested and a cyclist has died following a collision at Kenton Valley, near Gumeracha.
Just after midday yesterday, Tuesday the 12th of August, emergency services were called to Kenton Valley Road following reports a cyclist and van collided. Despite efforts from paramedics, the cyclist died at the scene.
The driver of the van was not physically injured.
The 66-year-old man from the Adelaide Hills was later arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He was bailed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on the 25th of September, and was issued with an instant loss of licence until further notice.
Kenton Valley Road was closed for several hours while Major Crash officers investigated but has since reopened.
