Dashcam Sought for Dukes Hwy Fatal & SE Freeway Bus Crash

SAPOL is investigating several car crashes over the weekend, including a fatal incident in the Murraylands and multi-vehicle collision on the South Eastern Freeway.

About 6.45pm Friday 26 May, emergency services were called to a serious crash on the Duke Highway Ki Ki .

A 19-year-old Keith woman who was the single occupant of a Mazda station wagon died at the scene.

Police say one of the vehicles involved, a blue 2002 Holden ute with personalised SA Number plates, heading in a westerly direction is believed to have overtaken heavy vehicles prior to the collision.

Police are seeking any dashcam footage or witnesses to the manner of driving of the ute prior to the crash.

In a seperate incident, yesterday, Sunday 28 May, police and emergency services were called to the city bound Heysen Tunnels on the South Eastern Freeway around 4.40pm, after reports that a bus, Hyundai SUV, Toyota sedan and a Holden sedan had crashed.

There were over thirty passengers on the bus and there are no reports of serious injuries, with one person taken to the Mount Baker Hospital with minor injuries.
