Bremer Callington have pulled off the upset of the season in the Alexandra and Eastern Hills Cricket Association, stunning league leaders Langhorne Creek to win by a single wicket.

The winless Cobras put in a superb bowling effort to hold the undefeated Tigers to just 112, before Graydon Brand’s 45 not out guided his side home in a tense finish. 

Other matches from the round went to plan for the favourites, with Lobethal, Macclesfield and Strathalbyn taking out comfortable wins.

Aldgate has taken out their top of the table clash against Scott Creek Ironbank, winning by 15 runs to claim top spot.

Aldgate posted 182 in their innings, despite 7/30 from Ethan Denning, and were able to hold on thanks to consistent wicket-taking.

Other matches saw Mount Lofty win a high-scoring clash with Bridgewater, while Mylor and Kangarilla won easily.

MURRAY TOWNS CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

Meningie have kept the pace with the chasing pack in the Murray Towns Cricket Association, with an important six-wicket win over the Wanderers in Round 7 action on Saturday. 

Paul McNicol led the way with 4/39 to keep the Wanderers to 115, before a masterful 93 not out from John Zadow guided Meningie to a comfortable win which keeps them in reach of the top four. 

Other results from the round saw Mypolonga’s winning form continue with a five wicket win over Monarto, while Mannum beat Tailem Bend by 9 wickets.

GREAT SOUTHERN CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

A Simon Roberts masterclass has helped Willunga pull off an unlikely 20-run victory over McLaren Districts in Round Five action of the Great Southern Cricket Association on Saturday. 

Chasing 137 to win and sitting at 0/19 overnight, the Crushers were bowled out for 117 thanks to 6/44 from Roberts off 31 overs. 

Other key results saw Noarlunga take a vital 25-run win over Yankalilla, while Goolwa came three wickets short of an outright win over Victor Harbor.
