A Victorian couple has been arrested after allegedly travelling to Murray Bridge in an allegedly stolen car.
Police say just after 7pm on Tuesday the 10th of February, a Hyundai sedan was reported stolen from Grote Street in Adelaide. Vehicle tracking technology assisted officers in monitoring the car as it travelled along the South Eastern Freeway towards Murray Bridge.
The vehicle was successfully spiked on Adelaide Road, where it came to a stop. A 40-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, both from Victoria, were arrested at the scene.
The man has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, illegal use, unlawful possession, going equipped and unlicensed driving. The woman has been charged with theft, unlawful possession, going equipped and illegal use.
Both were refused bail and were due to appear before the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court yesterday, Wednesday the 11th of February.
