A man from Clayton Bay has had a lucky escape after he drove into a creek at Finniss last night.

At 11pm Sunday 18 June, police and emergency services were called to a swift water rescue at Winery Road after a Subaru sedan had left the road and landed in the creek, subject to seasonal flooding.

The 49-year-old climbed onto the roof to wait for help with the SES and police working to safely extract him.
