A man has been charged for aggravated robbery after allegedly stealing cigars at a Mount Barker service station overnight.
Police were called to the Rainbird Drive servo at 9.20pm on Wednesday 12 June after a man allegedly threatened staff with a piece of broken glass and took cigars.
Police say the attendant was shaken, but not physically injured during the incident.
Patrols obtained a description of the suspect and searched the area.
Less than an hour later, a suspect was located at a nearby address and was arrested.
The 30-year-old Mount Barker man did not apply for bail and will appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court later today.
