A man from Mount Compass has been arrested after allegedly driving erratically and doing burn outs while almost four times over the legal blood alcohol limit.
Just after 3pm on Wednesday 10 July, patrols were called to George Francis Drive following reports that a white VY Commodore was seen driving erratically and doing burnouts.
Patrols located the suspected car nearby and followed it to Sand Mine Road where they spoke to the driver.
The 34-year-old man behind the wheel submitted to a breath test where he allegedly provided a positive result of 0.188.
His vehicle was impounded, he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence and was reported for drink driving and misuse of a motor vehicle. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
