Murray Bridge Police have arrested a man following an overnight break-in and theft of a car and bankcards from Woodcroft.
Between 10.30pm last night (Monday 10 July) and 6.45am this morning a house at Woodcroft was broken into while the occupants slept inside.
A grey Audi sedan was stolen, along with the car keys and bankcards, from the premises.
About 7am, the victim alerted police that stolen bankcards had just been used at Murray Bridge businesses.
Police quickly responded and about 7.40am located a suspect in Clara Street, Murray Bridge.
The 42-year-old Christie Downs man was arrested and charged with theft. The suspect is expected to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court later today.
The stolen Audi was found nearby and recovered by police.
Investigations are continuing.
