The dates for the next edition of the highly successful AFL Gather Round have been locked in by the State Government and the AFL.
The first school holiday period of the year will once again host the popular event, with the 9th to 12th of April confirmed today.
The event has continued to grow over its three years to date, with the latest estimations showing that SA gained more than $113m in economic benefit last year alone.
More than 54,000 visitors arrived from interstate as part of the event and stayed an average of 4.7 nights.
It also showed 241,613 visitor nights were booked in South Australia in 2025, 26% higher than last year (191,696) and 59% higher than 2023 (151,487).
It’s expected that the Barossa will again host the two regional matches on the schedule, with the Summit Sports and Recreation Centre to continue to be used for secondary matches such as the State League game.
