Woodblock Printing Workshop

Woodblock printing is one of the oldest methods of printing, originating from China and flourishing in Indus Valley civilization about 327 BCE.

In this 2.5 hour workshop, participants will learn about the history of the craft and traditional methods and will be able to practice with woodblocks from Rehana’s collection.

After initial practice participants can print final fabrics to create a table runner or cushion covers.

All materials are provided. Participants can bring one additional item like a t-shirt or any other medium size cotton fabric to take extra advantage of the session.
