Sydney Writer’s Festival Livestream

After missing out on this year’s ADELAIDE WRITERS’ WEEK, local book lovers will have a chance to see big-name authors later this month.
ALEXANDRINA LIBRARIES will livestream sessions from the SYDNEY WRITERS’ FESTIVAL at GOOLWA and STRATHALBYN from the 21st to 23rd of May.
Audiences can also take part in live Q-and-A sessions – its free with no need to book.
A lineup of sessions with intriguing topics will be screened at the Goolwa and Strathalbyn
Libraries on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 21 – 23 May 2026.
Topics include ‘The future of democracy: fighting authoritarianism with A.C. Grayling’; ‘Trent
Dalton: Gravity Let Me Go’; ‘Susan Choi: Flashlight’; and ‘Stephanie Alexander: The Cook’s Companion 30th Anniversary’.
The Sydney Writers’ Festival is a national forum for literature, ideas and storytelling held annually in May. Explore fantastical places, unpack politics and hear a world of stories, real and imagined by your favourite writers and authors.
Remote audiences can also participate in live Question and Answer sessions at each event, sending questions straight to the Sydney stage.
Panellists on the sessions include A.C. Grayling, Yann Martel, Stephanie Alexander, Robbie Arnott, David Szalay, Amitav Ghosh, Susan Choi, Trent Dalton, Mick Herron, Florence Knapp and Jon Sopel.
All livestreamed sessions are FREE and no bookings are necessary.
