Glenbarr Highland Gathering

Glenbarr Homestead is delighted to announce its annual Highland Gathering, set to take place on Sunday October 20th, 2024.  From 10 am .

This year’s event promises to be a vibrant celebration of Scottish culture, drawing together the community for a day filled with tradition, entertainment, and camaraderie.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Glenbarr Homestead, this year’s Highland Gathering will offer attendees an authentic experience of Scotland’s rich heritage. The event will feature:

• Highland Games Competitions : Cheer on athletes as they compete in iconic events such as the caber toss and stone put, showcasing their strength and precision.
• Live Music and Dance Performances : Enjoy the stirring sounds of bagpipes and the captivating moves of Highland dancers, bringing the spirit of Scotland to life.
• Clan Representations: Discover the stories and legacies of various Scottish clans as they proudly display their tartans and banners, providing a deeper connection to history.
• Artisan Markets and Food Stalls: Explore a diverse selection of handmade crafts, Scottish goods, and traditional foods that offer a true taste of Scotland.

Glenbarr Homestead’s Highland Gathering is more than just an event; it’s a chance to step back in time and experience the enduring traditions that have shaped Scottish history.
