BIRDWOOD SHEEPDOG TRIAL

We are the Adelaide Hills & Barossa working sheepdog club. We are holding the Birdwood sheepdog trial over the Easter long weekend 18th – 21st April where we will be showcasing the remarkable skills of working sheepdogs at this event. We have competitors from all over SA and Victoria competing for thousands dollars in prize money. Last year was a huge success with 80 + dogs competing and roughly 1200 people spectating over the weekend .

This year we look to build on last year’s success and grow the trial to be class leading for SA making it the bench mark for other trials

We would like to think that one day the Birdwood sheepdog trial will be the trial everyone wants to get behind to support and compete in to ensure longevity in the competition and working sheepdogs in Agriculture

Birdwood Football & Netball club are catering the event with canteen , BBQ with their famous Birdy burger all day Saturday and Sunday and yes the Bar will be open! Sit down meals will be available on the Saturday night with a local band for a great atmosphere for the evening
