Adelaide Hills Relay for Life
Relay for Life is a world wide concept raising funds to support those with cancer in over 25 countries.
Adelaide Hills Relay for Life has been held annually in the hills since 2006.
Last year our event attracted over 300 participants and raised over $95,000. This year our goal is $100,000.
Relay for Life is a teams based volunteer led community event. It involves teams of up to 20 people fundraising throughout the year then coming together in November at the beautiful Johnston Memorial Oval Balhannah to walk laps for 20 hours – cancer never rests and neither do we!
Unique to the event is the Celebration of Survivors and Carers with their very own lap and a free afternoon tea catered by a local Adelaide Hills business.
As the sun goes down we gather to remember those lost to cancer with a candlelight ceremony and photo display.
There is free entertainment, facepainting, massage, a silent auction and games to keep everyone motivated throughout the event.
