2026 Bay to Birdwood

The RAA Bay to Birdwood, proudly presented by the History Trust of South Australia, returns on Sunday 18 October 2026 with its biggest transformation yet – a completely reimagined Finish Festival at the National Motor Museum in the Adelaide Hills.

The largest continually held motoring event for veteran, vintage, and classic vehicles anywhere in the world, the RAA Bay to Birdwood has been a fixture on the South Australian events calendar since 1980.

This year’s will see more than 1,500 historic vehicles – spanning the early 1900s through to 31 December 1996 – travel the 67-kilometre route from Barratt Reserve, West Beach, to the National Motor Museum in the heart of the Adelaide Hills.

The day’s celebrations will culminate at the reinvigorated Finish Festival, headlined by a spectacular new addition: a 30-metre-long drive-on stage, allowing award winners and their vehicles to share the spotlight for the first time.

Category winners of the prestigious Concours d’Elegance Award, Preservation Award and EV Conversion Award will roll straight onto the striking new stage to be elevated – and celebrated – in front of thousands of spectators.
