Organisers of the first ever Flinders to Fleurieu rally are getting close to setting a new date, after recent wet weather forced a late postponement.
In a statement released on Monday, organisers said that “reduced road availability across sections of the proposed route, particularly in the Flinders Ranges, has meant that the organising team can no longer confidently deliver the event in 2026 to the standard expected by competitors, officials, sponsors and supporters.”
The rally was due to begin on September 20 in Quorn, snaking its way through 900km of regional roads before finishing in Victor Harbor on September 25.
Organisers have flagged late May or early June next year as a potential option, with a decision to be made within the next seven days.
