Double Trouble for Young Driver Allegedly Caught Speeding & Drink Driving

A young man from the Adelaide Hills man is facing court after allegedly being caught speeding and drink driving on the South Eastern Freeway.

Police say the 22-year-old was detected travelling at 158 kilometres an hour in a 110km/h zone in Verdun at around 9.40pm on Tuesday, August 18.

His Ford utility was stopped and the driver underwent a breath test, which police allege returned a positive result of 0.068.

The man was reported for drink driving and exceeding the speed limit.

His ute was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
